  2. Hi Scotty (or anyone reading), I'm trying to decide between a 2014 kia rio with 40,000 miles or a 2006 Lexus IS350 with 30,000 miles. Both of them are going for $5,000 which should I choose?

  3. I use Top Tier regular [87] gasoline.According to Consumer Reports and Clark Howard, it will help keep your engine cleaner over time.

  4. Maybe everyone should stop driving so close to eachother passing like it's a rule you have to go 15 mph faster than the guy in front of you no matter what speed they're going.. then maybe you morons would stop crashing all the time.. there I fixed the problem..

  5. Thanks to your video I found out that my car has laminated windows… And I was just about to buy one of those window breakers, thanks a lot!!

  6. I think you made a mistake regarding the heat shield. its built and placed between the catalytic converter and the floor of the car. it buffer car floor from catalytic, hence protect the car from taking the heat. the shield direct the heat downwards to the road. check your self on that one.

  7. I had an s 10 with the heat shield missing by the starter and I went through a starter every 2 months I bought the lifetime starter so I just kept taking it back for a replacement I could change it in about 10 min after about the 3rd one

  8. I had an RX-4 Mazda in the 1970's. I was in a clients orange grove driving along a tractor path and suddenly smelled burning. My catalytic converter was setting fire to the grass as I drove along. Luckily I was able to do the Smokey Bear dance stop and get it put out. Very embarrassing to set clients orange grove on fire.

  9. Hey Scotty. I always look for videos. Great work my friend. I got a AC issue. 2008 Toyota Camry 4 cyl. AC was ice cold one day, the next nothing but hot air. I pressed the inlet valve on both lines. It's still has something in it. I let the car run with ac on, to see if the line was sweating. And both lines were warm. The AC clutch spins with the pulley. Any ideas.

  10. It's true. My 2017 Mazda 6 Grand Touring has front laminated acoustic glass. Sunroof and back windows are still tempered glass.

  11. Scotty; you have to remove the driver's side wheel to change the oil in the new ranger! Hope the people who change their own oil get a lift!

  12. Concur with the Shell choice as you get what you pay for. Been using Texaco and Shell for 20+ years and never had an acceleration or fuel issue.

  13. Yeah I ain't too fond with GM vehicle. To me they're a piece of garbage. I'd rather stick with Japanese vehicles peferably Honda or Toyota.

  14. It comes down to if you would rather be 1) thrown out the window or 2) stuck in your car and can't get out after a wreck

  15. When they made seat belts compulsory in Australia in the early 70's, Graham Kennedy, a well known celebrity refused to use them as he said "they are only there so the ambo's can find the bodies". These laminated side windows and windscreens have now solved that location problem making seat belts obsolete.

  16. Scotty: "The answer is probably 'No.'"
    Scotty's Wife: [STARES]
Scotty: "The answer is most definitely 'No.'"

  17. Scotty i have a 2018 subaru legacy v6 R, it works on 87 gasoline, will i get better gas millages if i use 91 or 93, please let me know.

  18. If your truck is leaking clear fluid, check the brake fluid reservoir. It can be a pale-gold color that might appear clear in small amounts.

  19. I seen a dude call a tow truck because his AC was dripping the condensation out lol. I was gonna tell him but decided I'd let him learn the hard way. And probably wouldn't believe me anyways.

  20. On that Lexus it's most likely steam coming out the exhaust which is normal on a cold morning and cold engine

  21. had a scare, went to the gas station and coming out I saw dripping near where the oil pan is. this car being a POS chevy Orlando I thought that it was finally biting the dust. I look under the car and it is water that is pouring out of a drain hole in the frame. that water sat there overnight and only drained because I was parked on an incline at the gas station. I guess chevy also designs their frames to rust quicker too.

  22. You need to know this: almost every single car and truck made since 2010 is junk. All of them. Honda, Toyota, Ford, etc. What changed around that timeframe? Expanded use of transmissions with more and more gears (thus more and more to go wrong), and proliferation of cheaply made Chinese parts (thanks Obama!)
The companies that tend to have better build quality over the past decade has been GM cars, and for truck buyers they've found that 2500 and 3500 trucks actually go through better quality control so they tend to last much longer, and guess who doesn't make 2500 and 3500 trucks? Everyone but the big 3. 2012+ Tundra? Junk. Tacoma? Junk. F150? Junk
